Description

We are seeking an experienced Pulmonologist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with severe or chronic breathing issues. The role includes evaluating structural, inflammatory, infectious, and neoplastic respiratory disorders, interpreting pulmonology exams and tests, and performing specialized procedures such as pleural biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to understand symptoms and health concerns
• Diagnose and treat conditions including asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema
• Use and interpret pulmonology tests and exams to aid diagnosis of cardiopulmonary diseases (CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, bronchoscopies)
• Perform specialized procedures to obtain lung or chest wall lining samples for analysis
• Provide immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary diseases
• Maintain detailed appointment notes (symptoms, tests/results, treatments prescribed)
• Support and advise patients receiving long-term care
• Conduct research into testing and development of new medications and treatment methods

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field
• MD degree
• 3 to 7 years of internship and clinical residency training specializing in pulmonology
• Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonology
• Valid and active medical license in the state you wish to practice
• Exceptional attention to detail

Benefits

• Salary: $250,000–$300,000
