Description

Join a backend and DevOps-oriented team building and improving microservices using modern cloud tooling and test-first practices. The team follows Scrum and includes dedicated learning time each sprint, with your choice of editor and OS. You’ll deliver progressive delivery capabilities (e.g., GitOps/Canary) and share designs and software development practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support microservices with a test-first approach

• Work with Kubernetes/Docker and CI/CD tooling

• Implement and operate progressive delivery workflows (GitOps, Canary)

• Share concepts and software engineering practices with senior management and junior developers

Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Java programming skills; Kotlin experience is a major advantage

• Ability to communicate and mentor across the organization

• Practical experience with testing microservices (unit tests, API tests, performance, etc.)

• Familiarity with Progressive Delivery concepts (GitOps, Canary deployment)

• Knowledge of document databases (preferably MongoDB), message brokers (preferably RabbitMQ), and data caches (preferably Redis)

• Good understanding of computer networks and protocols (SIP is a major plus)

• Nice-to-have: OpenShift experience
