Description

Join a long-term public-sector project to develop and maintain tax-related software systems. You will build and evolve backend services and RESTful APIs in a regulated, high-availability environment, supporting performance, security, and code quality. You’ll work in an Agile team and contribute to CI/CD and containerized operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java backend applications
• Build and extend RESTful APIs
• Work with relational databases and ORM frameworks
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality
• Support CI/CD processes and work in containerized environments
• Perform occasional DevOps-related tasks

Requirements

• German C1 level (fluent written and spoken)
• IT degree (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent + at least 5 years of experience
• Strong Java experience (Java 8+)
• Minimum 5 years using Git
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with Linux (terminal-based work)
• Experience with OpenShift and Helm (minimum 2 years)
• Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Spring Data, JPA)
• Experience with build tools and CI pipelines (e.g., Gradle)
• Experience on large-scale projects with long-term multi-person teams
