Project work centers on developing and optimizing the backend with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL database performance. Responsibilities

• Develop backend components in Java (~30%)

• Analyze SQL queries

• Perform PostgreSQL tuning and server configuration

• Support the development team with database performance optimization

• Work in a production environment with emphasis on stability and monitoring

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position

• Very strong knowledge of PostgreSQL

• Experience with SQL query analysis and optimization

• Ability to configure and tune the PostgreSQL server

• Experience analyzing queries server-side (EXPLAIN, performance tuning)

• Basic Java knowledge
