Description

Support the solution during design and implementation by building and optimizing the database layer and data integrations that power the system. Implement physical database designs in PostgreSQL, develop and maintain database objects, and work with semi-structured data using JSONB. Collaborate within agile squads to deliver scalable, reliable, high-performing database components.

Responsibilities

  • Implement physical PostgreSQL database designs based on specifications from Data Modellers and Solution Architects.

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain database objects (schemas, queries, indexes, functions, stored procedures).

  • Work with semi-structured data using JSONB while ensuring optimal performance.

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations with connected systems via APIs and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and performance across integrated solutions.

  • Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancements of database components.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for database structures and integration logic.

  • Follow enterprise architecture and data modeling standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in the pharmacy industry within the last 12 months.

  • Strong hands-on PostgreSQL database development and performance tuning.

  • Experience designing and optimizing schemas, queries, indexes, and database logic.

  • Practical experience with semi-structured data, particularly JSONB.

  • Experience building and maintaining API-based integrations.

  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in agile teams.

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
