Quick Facts

  • Role: Staff Data Engineer (individual contributor)
  • Focus: Feature-store and agentic data/ML workflows for credit decisioning
  • Collaboration: Head of Data Engineering and Head of ML
  • Work model: Hybrid; ideally one day per week in the Warsaw or Kraków office
  • Contract: B2B

Description

Be the technical authority who designs and owns the data platform architecture, with a mission to build and operate the feature-store architecture that credit decisioning depends on. You will deliver reliable and cost-efficient schemas and pipelines with point-in-time correctness and freshness SLAs, plus reference implementations for modeling, lineage, and pipeline patterns. You will also own the agentic harnesses and loop/graph workflows connected to the feature store, including feature engineering, point-in-time validation, drift and data-quality observability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the feature-store architecture and its reliability/efficiency targets
  • Ensure schema, point-in-time correctness, and freshness SLAs
  • Provide reference implementations others can reuse (pipeline patterns, modeling standards, lineage approach)
  • Lead the most complex and highest-risk data initiatives, including cross-domain feature reuse across regulated entities
  • Design agent-first delivery: agent loop design (context, tools, evals, guardrails) for reliable, observable, cost-controlled agentic engineering
  • Build agentic harness and loop/graph agent workflows bound to the feature store: feature engineering, point-in-time validation, drift, and data-quality observability

Requirements

  • 8+ years of data engineering experience at scale
  • 5+ years in Spark/Databricks or equivalent lakehouse architecture
  • Expertise in SQL and data modeling
  • 7+ years of Python experience
  • Experience with performance and cost engineering
  • 3+ years working with agentic coding tools and loop engineering (context and tool design, evals, guardrails)
  • Deep knowledge of LLM behavior and trade-offs for agentic harness/loop/graph engineering
  • Staff-level ability to set standards through influence and mentoring
  • Strong skills in data quality, observability, lineage, and GDPR-aware governance
  • Fluent English (B2+)

Benefits

  • Architectural authority from day one—set the standard
  • Greenfield, high-stakes build with long-lasting design decisions
  • Modern stack and a lean, AI-native team
  • Hybrid role; ideally one day per week in Warsaw or Kraków
  • B2B Contract
