Description

You will take deep ownership of the backend data platform that ingests, normalizes, and reconciles on-chain and exchange data at scale. The system powers numbers that users file for their taxes, so correctness is non-negotiable. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on architectural decisions, performance, and deterministic execution with high availability.

Responsibilities

• Own the distributed data engine end-to-end for precision, performance, and scale

• Optimize, refactor, and elevate backend architecture for a high-throughput ETL pipeline

• Ensure deterministic execution, high availability, and financial-grade correctness

• Lead by example through high-quality code and sound architectural choices

• Partner with product and engineering leads to evaluate ideas and propose architectures

Requirements

• 8+ years experience with complex, data-heavy distributed systems

• Expert-level TypeScript with strong typing and financial-data correctness focus

• Deep distributed systems and DeFi context (async queue architectures, idempotency, on-chain execution semantics)

• Production-level DeFi experience (AMMs, lending, staking, LP positions, bridges) and ability to detect data anomalies

• Advanced data modeling and SQL skills; proven PostgreSQL performance tuning on massive datasets

• Proven professional experience with Rust for production/professional use

• Fluency with AI development tools (Claude/Codex/Cursor) and ability to integrate them into workflow
