Description

You will administer and optimize Linux and Windows servers, databases, SANs, virtualization, and Active Directory. You will manage network switches, monitor and troubleshoot IT systems, support users with technical issues, document the IT landscape, and help plan infrastructure (hardware and software). The role includes operational cybersecurity support and backup control to protect systems against cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux and Windows servers

• Operate and optimize databases, SANs, and virtualization

• Manage Active Directory and Windows clients

• Manage the network and switches

• Support employees and customers with technical problems

• Plan and install hardware purchases

• Protect systems against cyberattacks and manage backups

• Monitor IT systems and optimize issues

• Document the IT landscape

• Participate in strategic IT infrastructure planning (hardware/software) including business coordination

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience

• Relevant completed training or degree

• Very good Linux and Windows administration knowledge

• Extensive experience with virtualization, backup, and network administration

• Solid SQL database knowledge (MariaDB)

• Experience administering Active Directory

• Good German communication skills (spoken and written)

• Independent working style

• Interest in operational cybersecurity or information security
