Description

You will administer and maintain internal and customer GNU/Linux servers—investigating slow performance, responding to attacks, managing software, and supporting ongoing operations. The position also includes DevOps work, such as maintaining and improving clustered solutions so application uptime is not interrupted by a single server failure. You will collaborate on new client solutions (including video streaming) and help ensure monitoring, backups, and security are handled properly.

Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance of internal and customer servers

• Troubleshoot slow server response and resolve security incidents

• Install and manage software

• Collaborate on designing new client solutions

• Maintain and evolve cluster-based infrastructure for high availability

• Control monitoring, backups, and security

• Participate in on-call rotation and night coverage

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of GNU/Linux OS and working in the command line

• Very good knowledge of server systems

• Understanding of how computer networks work

• Willingness to learn new things

• Reliability and attention to detail
