Description

Maintain high-performance mainframe banking engines that process real-time and batch transactions without disruption. Connect core banking systems to modern cloud environments and work with complex Db2 embedded SQL against high-volume financial tables. Support large-scale transaction workloads handling millions of daily transactions.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and tune enterprise COBOL programs, JCL scripts, and batch jobs on IBM z/OS

• Develop and optimize embedded SQL for IBM Db2 queries used by banking workloads

• Support core banking transaction processing aligned with double-entry ledger logic, settlement, lending calculations, and/or ISO 20022 payment standards

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience

• Production experience delivering high-performance COBOL, JCL, and batch jobs on IBM z/OS

• Strong skills in IBM Db2 with embedded SQL (writing, debugging, tuning)

• Practical knowledge of core banking concepts such as ledger logic, settlement, loan calculations, or ISO 20022

• Relevant degree (Computer Science/Software Engineering or related) or equivalent enterprise experience
