Description

You will work on the technical implementation of a COBOL-to-Java migration approach. Responsibilities include analyzing existing COBOL code, developing Java/Spring Batch backend batch processes, integrating with DB2, and building unit/integration tests. You will collaborate in an agile team and use a CI/CD toolchain.

Responsibilities

• Technical implementation of the COBOL-to-Java porting approach

• Develop backend batch processes in Java/Spring Batch

• Read and perform functional/technical analysis of existing COBOL code

• Database connectivity and migration with DB2

• Develop unit and integration tests

• Work in an agile project team using CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins, Maven)

Requirements (all must)

• Advanced/Senior Java experience

• Spring Batch

• COBOL (functional and technical understanding)

• SQL / DB2

• Testing (unit/integration)

• Legacy code analysis skills

• Git, IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins

• HPQC or HP-ALM

• Financial IT domain knowledge (e.g., Mehrwert-Dienste methods, IDH, OSPE)

• German proficiency for project work

• Ability to attend on-site meetings in Münster
