Description

You will work on a central banking project with a major BUILD component, based on a workflow tool. The role includes functional analysis and specification writing, plus COBOL development and enhancements for real-time, batch, and TP applications. You will also participate in end-to-end delivery from design to production and support pre-production and performance phases, including workflow use cases for transfers, fraud, and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional needs and write specifications

• Develop and evolve COBOL applications (real-time, batch, TP)

• Manage end-to-end project activities from design to production

• Support pre-production and performance phases

• Contribute to the workflow tool and related business challenges (transfers, fraud, commercial targets)

• Delegate and supervise specification delivery within the assigned scope

• Stay responsive and accurate on a high-stakes project

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in COBOL development and analysis

• Proficiency in the technical stack for real-time and batch development (COBOL, JCL, HOST, DB2, SQL)

• Appreciable experience in the banking sector

• Initial experience in the commercial domain is a plus

• Autonomy, rigor, and quality mindset

• Enjoyment of functional analysis and willingness to grow into project management
