Description

Build event-driven Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs on Azure, running on AKS and backed by Azure Database for PostgreSQL. Integrate services using Kafka and Azure Service Bus, manage PostgreSQL schema changes with Liquibase in CI/CD, and ensure production observability and secure configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs

• Build event-driven integrations with Kafka and Azure Service Bus

• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production (Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server)

• Manage database schema changes and migrations using Liquibase in CI/CD pipelines

• Deploy and run services on AKS/Kubernetes

• Provide observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting for distributed systems using Azure Monitor

• Secure secrets and configuration using Azure Key Vault

Requirements

• 10+ years experience with Java and Spring Boot (microservices, REST APIs)

• Extensive production PostgreSQL experience

• Experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server

• Experience with AKS/Kubernetes

• Hands-on Kafka and Azure Service Bus

• Strong event-driven architecture and distributed systems knowledge

• Liquibase and CI/CD-integrated database migrations experience

• Good knowledge of Azure Monitor and Azure Key Vault

• Observability, troubleshooting, and Linux-based environments experience

• Fluent English

• Polish or EU citizenship, or permanent residence/work permit valid for at least 12 months
