Description

Design, implement, test, and maintain integration flows and APIs for an insurance-sector project. Make technical decisions for how integrations and APIs are implemented, and develop integration application/services using Java 21+ and Spring Boot. Build synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST and SOAP, ensure quality/security/availability/performance, and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain integration flows and APIs

• Decide on technical approach for integrations and APIs

• Develop integration applications and services (Java 21+ / Spring Boot)

• Build synchronous/asynchronous integrations using REST and SOAP

• Ensure quality, security, availability, and performance of services

• Diagnose problems and eliminate root causes

• Work with CI/CD processes and deployment automation on Kubernetes

• Participate in estimation, planning, technical risk analysis, and code reviews

• Maintain code quality standards and automate software delivery

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience building Java applications

• Practical knowledge of Java 21+ and Spring Boot

• Experience designing and implementing inter-system integrations and APIs (REST, JSON, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SOAP, XML)

• Experience building asynchronous integrations with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ

• Experience with API Management platforms (publish and secure APIs)

• Experience developing microservices and deploying them on Kubernetes

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD processes (Bamboo or Jenkins)

• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and deployment automation

• Ability to create unit tests using testing frameworks

• Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases
