Description

You will develop and maintain integrations between banking systems, including synchronous REST/HTTPS and SOAP as well as asynchronous, event-driven messaging with Apache Kafka. The role includes designing and versioning service contracts using OpenAPI, automating secure configuration/deployment, and building integration components such as API endpoints and orchestration logic. You will also implement secure communication (HTTPS/TLS, certificates, authentication and authorization) and create unit/integration tests with contract validation.

Responsibilities

• Build integration components, API endpoints, and orchestration logic for inter-system communication
• Implement and maintain REST/SOAP integrations, including HTTPS/TLS configuration, certificates, authentication, and authorization
• Design event-driven communication in Kafka, including error handling and reliability of processing
• Create unit and integration tests, map models with MapStruct, and validate API contracts

Requirements

• Practical experience integrating systems with Java and Spring Boot/Spring Framework
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, certificates, and authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC, JWT)
• Strong API design knowledge: OpenAPI, HTTP semantics, idempotency, versioning, and contract compatibility
• Experience with Apache Kafka; Maven or Gradle; Git; JUnit 5; Mockito; MapStruct (Spring Security is an advantage)
• Experience in banking environments, high-availability systems, or ESB development
