Description

Own and evolve a scalable, future-ready commercial data foundation serving multiple downstream applications across CRM, service desk, marketing automation, and order-to-cash. You will define enterprise domain models and standards, design real-time/event-driven integration pathways, and establish semantic authority so AI-driven commercial analytics uses agreed definitions with preserved lineage. You will also govern architectural decisions and ensure compliance with enterprise AI guardrails, data protection, retention, auditability, and healthcare regulations (GxP, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Drive the Target Data Architecture for commercial data across multiple applications.

• Create and maintain Conceptual & Logical Data Models, taxonomies, and ontologies using Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Design real-time and event-driven streaming patterns and API contracts for synchronization across platforms and data lakes/warehouses.

• Own semantic content: entity/metric definitions, calculation logic, business meaning, and permitted interpretation scope; enable AI/agentic consumption.

• Ensure semantic authority and lineage survive replication, cloning, and aggregation.

• Align consumption patterns with enterprise AI guardrails for provenance, protection, retention, and auditability.

• Own and scale ADR governance; contribute to Governance Decision Records (GDRs) and ensure alignment with reference architectures, data security, and GxP/GDPR.

• Manage technical debt and modernize by consolidating legacy data silos into vendor-agnostic patterns.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, and business leaders to deliver data products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, or solution architecture (preferably commercial/CRM/customer service domains).

• Proven track record designing data backbones/unified data layers supporting multi-application ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva, SAP, ServiceNow).

• Expert proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling (relational, dimensional, document, graph).

• In-depth commercial domain knowledge across Marketing, Sales, Customer Support/Service, and Commercial Operations; Master Data Management (HCP/HCO/Account structures) preferred.

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure Data Lake), event-driven/API architectures (Kafka, AMQP/MQTT, REST/GraphQL), and modern tooling (DBT, SQL).

• Ability to establish semantic content AI/agentic systems can reliably reason over (entities/metrics, calculation logic, interpretation scope) and define completeness criteria.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate and negotiate architectural roadmaps.
