Description

Delivery-focused Business Architect role supporting a major MSS business transformation with data at the center. Translate complex, unclear business problems into a business blueprint and future-state business architecture that technology teams can build. Work with Technology Architects and delivery teams to shape end-to-end workflows, data flows, and modular, phased solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify the root business problem, not just the stakeholder request

• Break down complex challenges into clear, deliverable components

• Define the target operating model and future-state business architecture

• Create business blueprints describing how solutions should operate

• Partner with Technology Architects to convert business requirements into scalable solutions

• Shape solution design from a business and user perspective

• Prioritise and sequence capabilities, processes, data, and functionality

• Design end-to-end business workflows (triggers, ownership, outcomes)

• Map data flows across the Markets business (source to consumption)

• Identify dependencies across processes, people, data, and technology

• Structure solutions into modular components for phased delivery

• Communicate transformation and architecture concepts to stakeholders at all levels

• Bridge business and technology teams to ensure outcome alignment

• Challenge requirements and solutions to ensure they address the real business need

• Maintain alignment between requirements, processes, data, and architecture throughout delivery

• Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation

Requirements

• Experienced Business Architect with delivery experience (not document-only architecture)

• Ability to identify the root business problem beyond initial stakeholder requests

• Proven ability to decompose complex challenges into deliverable components

• Experience defining target operating models and future-state business architecture

• Ability to build business blueprints that guide solution operation and technology implementation

• Ability to map end-to-end business workflows and specify triggers, ownership, and outcomes

• Experience mapping data flows across a Markets domain from source to consumption

• Ability to identify dependencies across processes, people, data, and technology

• Strong stakeholder communication skills across all levels

• Experience partnering with Technology Architects and working with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams
