Description

Designs and maintains conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including data warehouse and data mart structures. Defines data flows between source systems, the data warehouse, and the reporting layer, and oversees ETL/ELT processes and data mapping. Supports architectures such as Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data as a Product, with a focus on banking data and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical)

• Build and evolve data warehouse and data mart models

• Create modeling standards and review model quality

• Design banking-domain data structures (customers, accounts, products, transactions, payments, statements)

• Define data flows across source systems, warehouse, and reporting

• Design and supervise ETL/ELT processes and data mapping

• Maintain metadata, data lineage, and data governance rules

• Support MDM initiatives and improve data quality

• Design solutions for management reporting, business analytics, and Self-Service BI

• Co-create data architecture aligned with Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data as a Product

• Assess impact of business/regulatory changes on banking data architecture

• Optimize database structures, SQL queries, and large-volume data processing

• Support initiatives integrating data with AI and Machine Learning

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data modeling and data architecture design

• Practical knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling

• Experience designing data warehouses and data marts, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema

• Very good knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL

• Experience optimizing databases, SQL queries, and large data volumes

• Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Mesh, and Data Governance

• Experience with MDM, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, API integrations, and XML/JSON formats

• Ability to map data between systems and design data flows

• Banking experience, especially customers, accounts, products, transactions, and payments

• Understanding of Data-Driven, Self-Service BI, AI/ML, and Data as a Product

• Ability to collaborate with business, analysts, data owners, and technical IT teams
