Description

Senior Data Modeling Architect responsible for designing and developing data architecture that supports a modern, data-driven bank. You will create data models from conceptual to physical level, build and maintain relational models and data warehouses, design data marts using dimensional schemas, and support reporting/BI and data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models at conceptual, logical, and physical levels
• Create and maintain relational data models and data warehouses
• Design data marts and dimensional structures (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
• Define data modeling standards and perform model quality reviews
• Co-create an architecture covering Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Mesh
• Design the reporting layer to support business analytics and BI solutions
• Contribute to Data Governance, Metadata Management, MDM, and Data Lineage initiatives
• Design data integrations between internal and external systems
• Support data quality and optimize database solutions
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and technical teams on data usage and AI/ML initiatives

Requirements

• Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
• Very good relational data modeling skills
• Knowledge of normalization and denormalization
• Experience with data warehouse and data mart modeling
• Practical knowledge of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema
• Ability to define standards and evaluate data model quality
• Very good Oracle Database knowledge
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with query and database performance optimization
• Knowledge of indexing and partitioning for large tables
• Experience with Data Quality
• Practical knowledge of: Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Governance, MDM, Metadata Management, Data Lineage
• Experience designing ETL/ELT processes
• Knowledge of batch and online integrations
• Experience with APIs, XML, and JSON
• Ability to map data between systems
• Experience designing data exchange with external systems
• Banking sector experience
• Knowledge of banking products and accounts, transaction history and statements, domestic/international payments, customer data, and regulatory/reporting requirements
• Understanding of business analytics needs and BI/self-service reporting architecture
• Knowledge of using data for AI and Machine Learning
• Understanding of Data as a Product
