Description

You will work on a project migrating an Oracle database environment to Google Cloud Platform and developing end-to-end Data Engineering solutions on GCP. The role includes designing and implementing batch and streaming pipelines, rebuilding data processing flows from on-premise to cloud, and ensuring data quality with error handling and retries. You will also analyze and migrate existing Informatica PowerCenter ETL processes and implement transformations and validations using SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Oracle database environment to GCP using BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage

• Design, implement, and develop Data Engineering solutions on GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub)

• Migrate and rework data processing and ingestion processes from on-premise to Google Cloud

• Build batch and streaming processes with data quality controls, error handling, and retry mechanisms

• Model data and optimize SQL structures and queries for performance, scalability, and processing cost

• Analyze and migrate Informatica PowerCenter–based ETL to the target GCP architecture

• Implement transformation and data validation logic with SQL and Python

• Support technical analysis, testing, deployments, and technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering, data integration, or data processing

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub

• Experience designing and implementing data migration processes to cloud environments

• Practical knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL query creation/optimization

• Experience with large datasets and query performance analysis

• Knowledge of data modeling and logical/physical data model design

• Practical experience with Informatica PowerCenter for ETL analysis/modification

• Python skills for implementing data processing logic

• Experience with code repositories and CI/CD

• Ability to prepare unit/integration tests and technical documentation
