Description

You will shape technical direction and development standards for a security-focused engineering team building security products on a powerful cloud platform. The role focuses on cloud-native security built in Go, optimized for high throughput, zero-allocation, and low-latency execution within the Kubernetes control plane.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Kubernetes operators, admission controllers, and CRDs for deterministic, automated policy enforcement and real-time remediation of security threats

• Use Linux kernel primitives (eBPF, cgroups, namespaces) to build observability pipelines and runtime protection agents

• Lead the design and deployment of zero-trust architectures and identity-aware proxies for hyperscale traffic volumes

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of security services: architecture, region-wide deployment, SLI/SLO-driven monitoring, and safe degradation strategies

• Support continuous improvement through “You build it, you run it” and blameless postmortems

Requirements

• Proven experience with Go or a comparable modern programming language (Python, Rust, C++, Java)

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes internals, including the control plane and the CNCF ecosystem

• Hands-on experience securing Linux kernels and the Kubernetes control plane

• Experience with security primitives: AppArmor, SELinux, Seccomp, eBPF

• Practical experience designing and integrating authorization and identity frameworks (OPA, SPIFFE/SPIRE, OAuth2/OIDC)

• Strong alignment with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automated, verifiable CI/CD pipelines

• Fluent English; German is an advantage
