Description

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you’ll build and evaluate production AI agents and the full-stack experiences around them. The role emphasizes TypeScript services on AWS, safe sandboxed agent runtimes, observability for non-deterministic systems, and infrastructure/CI improvements, along with React-based agent-facing tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build production AI agents in TypeScript on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Bedrock) using Strands or LangGraph and AI SDKs

• Define agent behavior: what the model investigates vs. what code enforces

• Sandbox agents with read-only runtimes, scoped tool access, contained reads, and budget/timeout guards

• Evaluate AI features with golden sets, production replays, calibrated judges, and release gating (recall, precision, false-positive rate)

• Ensure observability: reason-coded metrics, structured logs, alerting on failures, and investigations in Splunk and VictoriaMetrics

• Operate infrastructure using Terraform across environments and improve GitLab CI/CD for build, test, deploy, and quality gates

• Build resilient integrations for retries, rate limits, permanent failures, and stale state

• Use AI to write/review code while keeping agent context current

• Review AI-written changes for security, correctness, and maintainability

• Enable teams by configuring assistants, skills, hooks, and MCP servers; pair with engineers and share practices

• Build agent-facing tools using React and APIs for summaries, dashboards, and internal tooling (agent-readable outputs)

• Document systems with architecture/sequence diagrams, runbooks, and decision records

Requirements

• Broad technical perspective and adaptability across modern software stacks

• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript (including Node.js, async patterns, testing, and monorepo tooling)

• Working proficiency with Python for backend services, evaluations, analysis, and automation tooling

• Practical hands-on AWS experience beyond serverless, including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Bedrock, plus components like ECS/EKS, networking, compute, and IAM

• Experience shipping LLM API features (prompts, tool calling, structured output, long context) and ability to explain evals used for release gating

• AI-first engineering mindset using AI-assisted tools and LLM APIs

• Ability to read and safely modify Terraform configurations across environments

• Hands-on experience with NoSQL and SQL stores, including schema changes and live-system migrations

• Ability to design metrics, logs, and alarms for non-deterministic systems and debug production issues from them

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitLab CI/CD)

• Fluent written and spoken English; ability to articulate trade-offs and align teammates
