Description

You’ll design and develop Java (Spring Boot) backend services and integrations for enterprise insurance platforms, including ownership of architecture and code quality. The team uses Spec Driven Development, where AI supports technical documentation, task specification, planning, and verification/testing. You’ll progressively extend your scope toward the frontend with Angular/TypeScript as project needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services in Java (Spring Boot) for financial settlement, accounting, investment fund, and claims-handling modules

• Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs and integrations with external service providers

• Own architecture and code quality (Clean Code, design patterns, code review)

• Collaborate with BA, QA, Frontend, and Scrum Master in Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies

• Gradually get involved with frontend work (Angular/TypeScript) as project needs arise

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Strong skills designing high-performance REST APIs

• Openness to learning and working with Angular (TypeScript)

• Practical knowledge of document databases (e.g., MongoDB) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle)

• Architectural thinking and code quality (SOLID, Clean Code)

• English B2 or higher

• Polish A1/A2 level

• Openness to AI-assisted programming in a Spec Driven Development model
