Description

You will build and maintain production-grade backend services in Kotlin and Spring Boot while collaborating with AI agents (primarily Claude Code) to write specifications, guide the agent, validate the results, and safely ship changes to production. You will also automate recurring developer tasks by turning repeated issues into linter rules, tests, and workflows, and by creating guidance for AI agents. Improvements must be validated end-to-end (including rollbacks and real deployment time), not just by token usage.

Responsibilities

• Create production-quality code with AI agents: write the specification, run the agent, verify outputs, and take ownership of production changes
• Develop and maintain backend services in Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Convert recurring bugs into linter rules, tests, and automation
• Create instructions and commands for AI agents; review outputs and build recurring automations
• Verify that improvements work after rollbacks and based on deployment time
• Share knowledge and best practices for working with AI
• Occasionally update the internal panel frontend

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer on the JVM (Kotlin or Java) with Spring Boot
• Strong Kotlin experience (work or personal projects)
• Code quality mindset (Clean Code / Software Craftsmanship) and experience with TDD, DDD, hexagonal architecture, microservices, and event sourcing
• Experience using AI coding agents for development (at work or personal projects) and the ability to know when not to trust them
• Ability to write tests that prove behavior, including integration tests with a real database
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and designing HTTP APIs
• Understanding of user needs and business context
• Ability to work independently and effectively even with incomplete information
• Preference for replacing repeatable manual work with rules, tests, or automation
