Description

Develop and maintain medium to large-scale Perl applications using OOP and MVC design patterns. Build and integrate JSON/XML APIs with relational databases/ORM, write unit and integration tests, and support CI/CD and continuous delivery. Collaborate through the full software development lifecycle and use AI-powered coding assistants to improve productivity, quality, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain medium to large-scale Perl applications
• Design and implement solutions based on OOP, MVC, and established design patterns
• Build and maintain APIs and integrations using JSON and XML
• Work with relational databases and ORM
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and support continuous delivery
• Collaborate with the team across the full software development lifecycle

Requirements

• Experience in software development across the full software development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience developing medium to large-scale Perl applications
• Knowledge of web-based MVC frameworks such as Mojolicious, Dancer, or Catalyst
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC, and design patterns
• Experience working with JSON/XML APIs and relational databases
• Familiarity with ORM tools and database integration
• Experience with Git and version control workflows
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or Jenkins
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
• Focus on writing well-designed, testable, efficient, and maintainable code
• Good command of English (min. B2)
• Work from the European Union region and have a work permit
