Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Salesforce Engineer

Description

You will serve as the primary owner of the client’s Salesforce org, accountable for reliability, data accuracy, and day-to-day health across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. The first 6–12 months focus on stabilizing a recent CRM migration from HubSpot to Salesforce and bringing Salesforce fully in-house while keeping HubSpot marketing running through active bidirectional sync. This is a hands-on role prioritizing Salesforce engineering with room to expand into broader revenue technology automation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full Salesforce org end to end: configuration, automation, security model, data integrity, and performance

  • Manage roles, profiles, permission sets, Flows, validation rules, page layouts, and declarative tooling

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, well-documented Salesforce solutions

  • Own the data model, object relationships, and automation architecture

  • Design and build custom apps/objects/tooling using App Builder and declarative tools

  • Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure the data model and fields support accurate reports and dashboards

  • Drive data hygiene, duplicate management, and reporting accuracy

  • Intake and triage Salesforce change requests by effort/impact; communicate timelines

  • Administer Salesforce Sales Engagement for the BDR team, including cadence infrastructure, work queues, permissions, and connected dialer integration

  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and bring relevant improvements

  • Review and approve every configuration/metadata change before production

  • Lead the transition from externally managed to fully in-house Salesforce

  • Direct external partners: scope, priorities, solution review, and delivery validation

  • Use metadata mapping/impact analysis to inform changes and independently verify recommendations

  • Audit and right-size permissions for third-party and integration users

  • Post-migration stabilization: clean legacy data/model items from HubSpot, finalize deduplication and lead/contact routing, triage user issues

  • Own health of the HubSpot–Salesforce sync from the Salesforce side (field mappings, association logic, sync error resolution)

  • Establish release, sandbox, and QA practices so the org scales cleanly

  • Lead QA for all Salesforce changes; design test plans and coordinate UAT/regression

  • Own sandbox strategy and deployments via change sets and/or SFDX; act as final quality gate

  • Maintain release notes and a change log for every deployment

  • Monitor org health, governor limits, and performance; troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on incidents

  • Reduce technical debt by retiring unused fields, flows, objects, and automations

  • Document meaningful system changes, maintain architecture documentation, and create runbooks

  • Build training and enablement materials for Salesforce users

  • Own Salesforce-side integrations and help reduce the number of tools in use

  • Collaborate on NetSuite quote-to-cash/order-to-cash data flow to keep systems in sync and flag handoff issues

  • Build and maintain automated workflows in n8n (or similar) as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience administering, building, and developing on Salesforce Sales Cloud

  • Hands-on Apex experience (classes, triggers) with debugging and test coverage maintenance

  • Advanced declarative automation skills (Flows, validation rules, approval processes)

  • Lightning Web Components experience

  • Integration design and troubleshooting with REST/SOAP APIs and middleware, including field mapping and sync/error handling

  • Data model and architecture ownership (objects, relationships) with awareness of downstream schema impact

  • Deep command of Salesforce security model (roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules) and auditing of integration/third-party access

  • Release management experience (sandboxes, deployments via change sets and/or SFDX, testing standards, documentation)

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator certification

Benefits

  • Room to grow into a broader tech stack and automation (including n8n workflows and integrations) over time
