Description

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements and design scalable SAP ERP/S4HANA Production Planning solutions. Build integrated end-to-end architectures connecting SAP S/4HANA PP with adjacent SAP modules (MM, QM, PM, SD) and third-party systems (e.g., MES, APS, LIMS). Lead PP and PP-DS implementation/customization through the full lifecycle—from conceptual design and blueprinting to testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, hypercare, and stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable production planning solutions within SAP ERP/S4HANA

• Create end-to-end integration architectures across SAP PP and related SAP modules, plus third-party systems

• Enforce industry best practices to align solutions with long-term operational excellence

• Lead configuration and customization for SAP Production Planning modules (PP, PP-DS)

• Oversee project lifecycle: conceptual design, blueprinting, configuration, SIT/UAT testing, cutover, hypercare, stabilization

• Run workshops, training, and knowledge transfer to support adoption of SAP PP capabilities

• Troubleshoot complex functional and integration issues (MRP/MRP Live, capacity planning, shop floor execution, BOM/routing consistency, integrations with MES or APO/PP-DS)

• Recommend system enhancements aligned with S/4HANA innovations (e.g., embedded PP-DS, predictive MRP)

• Work with technical teams; provide functional specifications and validate integrations via IDocs, BAPIs, and APIs

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an SAP Consultant or Business Solution Architect focused on SAP ERP/S4HANA Production Planning

• At least 2 greenfield implementations as PP Team Lead or Business Solution Architect; at least one must be on S/4HANA

• Expert knowledge of SAP PP, including MRP/MRP Live, BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, planning strategies, capacity planning, and integration with MM, QM, SD, PM

• Experience with ABAP debugging and integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, APIs); MES or APS integration is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills plus excellent communication and stakeholder management

• English level B2+ (written and spoken)

• Workshop facilitation and knowledge-transfer experience to drive end-user adoption

Nice to have

• SAP PP-DS experience (embedded or classic APO)

• Relevant SAP certifications in ECC/S/4HANA Production Planning; PP-DS certification
