Description

You’ll join an international engineering team building modern web applications in Agriculture & Life Sciences. The role is backend-focused with strong Python and FastAPI expertise required, plus solid commercial React experience. You’ll design scalable services and REST APIs, integrate with databases, and contribute frontend components with clean, well-tested code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python and FastAPI

• Build and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and controllers

• Develop database connectivity and integration modules using SQLAlchemy or similar ORM

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases

• Develop and maintain frontend components using React

• Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-tested code

• Create and maintain unit and integration tests

• Participate in CI/CD and support automated delivery pipelines

• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize application performance

• Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers, product teams, and stakeholders

• Contribute to technical discussions and apply software engineering best practices

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Python

• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI

• Excellent understanding of Python fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, time and space complexity)

• Solid knowledge of REST API design and development

• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases

• Practical experience with SQLAlchemy or a comparable ORM

• Good understanding of CI/CD processes

• Experience writing and maintaining unit and automated tests

• Commercial experience with React

• Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript

• Good command of English

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and make sound technical decisions
