Description

You will design architecture and independently lead the implementation of complex, scalable microservices based on Node.js and TypeScript. You will build and develop GraphQL APIs, integrating with PostgreSQL and Redis, while improving performance, stability, and scalability as traffic grows. You’ll collaborate with an agile product team and drive standards around TDD, code quality, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture and lead the implementation of scalable microservices
• Develop GraphQL APIs and integrate systems with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Ensure platform performance, stability, and scalability; proactively identify and remove bottlenecks
• Optimize and automate backend processes to improve efficiency and service quality
• Lead large, complex IT solutions with a focus on microservices architecture
• Set standards for TDD and maintain high code quality and system reliability
• Work closely with an agile product team to solve complex technical problems

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of backend development experience
• Fluency in Node.js development with TypeScript
• Experience with GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Docker, and Git
• Ability to design and evolve microservices architecture with knowledge of trade-offs and pitfalls
• Understanding of performance implications and ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions
• Experience writing quality tests using TDD
• Independently organizes work, proactively identifies problems, and takes full responsibility for outcomes
• Comfort integrating external systems and solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical/product decisions
