Description

You will help build and operate sovereign cloud and on-prem infrastructure for an AI Autonomy Hub, enabling secure and reliable deployment pipelines. The role covers CI/CD and GitOps automation, comprehensive automated testing, and an observability stack with SLO/SLI-based monitoring. As a Senior engineer, you will set standards, drive technical foundations, and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage sovereign cloud and on-prem infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible; define automation and security standards
• Concept, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and GitOps workflows for automated build, test, and deployment
• Implement a holistic test strategy and build automated frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Build and run an observability stack (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir) and define SLOs/SLIs with proactive monitoring of logs, traces, and system state
• Integrate security scans and compliance checks (e.g., Trivy, Kyverno, Cosign)
• Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and provide technical leadership
• Own the architectural foundation and connect strategic design with practical automation

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field (Master/PhD ideal for Senior)
• Solid DevOps/Cloud/QA automation experience (Senior: proven multi-year experience)
• In-depth cloud platform knowledge: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Deep container expertise: Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong IaC experience: Terraform and Ansible
• Competence with test frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Playwright) and expert scripting (Python, Bash)
• Automation-first mindset with a strong commitment to quality, system reliability, and security
• Senior-level experience mentoring and establishing DevOps/SRE best practices
• Fluent German and English
