Description

You will administer and maintain telecommunications and network systems, with a strong focus on a VoIP-based telecommunications solution and active network components such as switches. The role includes maintenance and inspections, fault analysis in data cabling and fiber optic networks, and restoring operational safety and system functionality. You will also support continuous operations by joining the 24/7 on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Administration of the VoIP-based telecommunications system

• Mounting, commissioning, and repairing active network components (switches)

• Planning and conducting maintenance and inspections according to BOStrab 57 to confirm and maintain operating safety

• Fault analysis in data cabling networks and fiber optic networks of medium complexity

• Restoration of operational safety and functionality of the above systems

• Data maintenance (data updates)

• Construction supervision and accompanying system inspections/testing

• Participation in the 24/7 on-call service

Requirements

• Completed training as an Electronics Technician for Operations Engineering or Communications Electronics Technician in an IT-related field

• Good knowledge of VoIP-based telecommunications technology

• Good knowledge of data protection

• Basic knowledge of network engineering

• Basic knowledge of current standards and regulations for work on electrical systems

• Valid Class B driver’s license (mandatory)

• Basic knowledge of English

• Safe handling of MS Office

• Strong technical understanding and practical dexterity

• Analytical and logical thinking
