  • Core scope: Oracle Linux/RHEL administration, VMware and physical servers, incident resolution, and infrastructure automation.

Description

You’ll support the reliability of a banking infrastructure by administering Linux servers, virtual machines, and physical hardware. The job combines operations (availability, troubleshooting, incident root-cause analysis) with automation—using Ansible and infrastructure-as-code practices versioned in Git. After onboarding, you’ll join the on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Oracle Linux and RHEL: ensure availability, perform updates, and maintain configuration
  • Handle virtualization and physical servers with VMware and server hardware—from preparation and deployment to diagnostics and operational fixes
  • Automate day-to-day work using Ansible (or similar), reducing manual tasks
  • Keep configuration and infrastructure described in code, versioned in Git, and ready for repeatable deployments
  • Use monitoring to track environment health, respond to incidents, and identify their causes
  • Participate in infrastructure improvements and collaborate with database, network, and application teams
  • Join on-call after onboarding

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure administration
  • Practical Linux knowledge: services, logs, permissions, packages, and disks
  • Basic network diagnostics capability
  • Experience managing virtual machines and virtualization platforms (VMware or similar)
  • Experience with physical server administration, including remote management (iLO/iDRAC), hardware diagnostics, firmware updates, and vendor coordination
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible (or similar): writing/modifying automation and managing infrastructure as code with Git versioning
  • Problem-solving mindset: understand dependencies, investigate causes, complete tasks, and know when to ask for help

Benefits

  • Friendly team with regular office meetups; work-from-home possible by agreement
  • 5 weeks of vacation plus 5 days off annually
  • Premium healthcare via Canadian Medical / EUC Premium (free)
  • Monthly contribution toward pension savings (CZK 2,000)
