Description

You will manage and continuously improve end-to-end application services in a Mainframe/Host environment for the capital markets platform. The focus is on ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of securities services for retail, wholesale, and institutional customers, while driving modernization and resilient operations. You will steer incident, problem, and change processes, coordinate business and IT requirements, and work with internal specialists and external providers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end responsibility for Mainframe/Host applications: availability, stability, security, and sustainable further development
• Steer incident, problem, and change processes to ensure resilient, cost-effective, and audit-ready operations
• Prioritize and coordinate business and technical requirements and translate them into a viable IT delivery and operating model
• Coordinate internal specialists and external providers; foster reliable, solution-oriented collaboration
• Design technical solutions for interfaces, processing chains, data management, error handling, and automation
• Analyze impacts of planned changes; ensure quality and transparency using repository and analysis tools (e.g., XINFO)
• Drive modernization of the application landscape by combining established Mainframe technologies with digital enablers and future-proof integration approaches

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science or IT-focused vocational training with technical specialization and business understanding
• Ideally experience with securities/capital market processes
• Experience in Host/Mainframe environments or a solid background in developing, deploying, and operating complex applications
• Knowledge of stable operations processes, IT security, architecture, incident, and problem management
• Ideally knowledge of COBOL, DB2, and JCL, as well as MQ, RACF, Control-M, or Java
• Ability to work confidently with business units, IT teams, management, and external service providers
• Structured, analytical, pragmatic working style; willingness to take responsibility
• Experience collaborating with external providers in agile project contexts
• Interest in automation and GenAI/digital technologies such as GitHub Copilot to improve operations and delivery
• Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) in speaking and writing
