Description

You will support the secure and economical operation of battery energy storage systems (BESS) over their full operating period. The role includes monitoring performance and availability, coordinating maintenance and external O&M providers, handling fault reports through error analysis to resolution, and maintaining technical documentation. You will also support warranty and guarantee processes and contribute to the development of SOPs, safety, and emergency concepts while collaborating with teams across project development, engineering, and legal.

Responsibilities

• Build up the commercial-technical operational management of BESS systems and manage it throughout the operating period
• Monitor ongoing operations, including performance and availability control
• Coordinate and track maintenance and corrective actions
• Steer and align with external O&M service providers and service partners
• Process fault reports, perform error analysis, and follow cases through to remediation
• Document maintenance activities, incidents, and plant status
• Support compliance with warranty and guarantee claims toward manufacturers and EPC partners
• Contribute to the further development of SOPs, safety procedures, and emergency concepts
• Interface work with colleagues from project development, engineering, and legal

Requirements

• Ideally training or degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, energy engineering, or a comparable qualification
• First experience in operations management and O&M, ideally for battery storage, PV, wind, or other energy systems
• Technical understanding of battery storage system functionality and operation
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Willingness to travel for site visits
• Very good German and English in speaking and writing
