Description

Drive business development for IT security testing, certification, and ISMS-related services. Work closely with sales and technical teams to qualify inquiries, shape customer discussions, and translate complex requirements into economically viable offers. Develop market entry plans and partnerships while monitoring BSI, DAkkS, and relevant standardization and expert committee activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to identify target customers and market opportunities, qualify requests, and contribute to proposals and customer meetings

• Develop business opportunities around IT security testing, accredited lab services, certification, ISMS, and IT-Grundschutz

• Assess market potential, investment needs, and priorities and provide well-founded recommendations to management

• Build relationships with manufacturers, operators, public clients, certification bodies, and partners; support opportunities through contract conclusion

• Develop market entry plans and partnerships with testing, certification, and consulting teams, ensuring independence and impartiality requirements are met

• Track requirements and developments at BSI, DAkkS, and in relevant standardization and expert groups; derive new service offerings with subject-matter teams

Requirements

• Completed university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, IT Security, Engineering, Business Informatics, or similar)

• Several years of experience in business development, technical sales, or service development in IT security testing/certification/ISMS or regulated technology

• Solid understanding of ISMS and ISO/IEC 27001; ideally experience with BSI IT-Grundschutz in organizational contexts

• Experience translating complex technical requirements into convincing, economically viable proposals together with sales and experts

• Strong customer and stakeholder confidence; connections in BSI, DAkkS, certification bodies, or technical committees are a plus

• Knowledge of accredited testing and certification processes, particularly certification body requirements under ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO/IEC 17065 and test laboratories under ISO/IEC 17025 (advantage)

• Very good German and English skills with strong communication at technical and leadership levels
