• Focus: Strengthen and govern the Information Security Management System (ISMS)

Description

You will develop, introduce, and monitor the organization’s ISMS while continuously improving information security governance. The role includes advising management and business units, performing risk analyses and internal audits, supporting external audits and certifications, and ensuring incident management and staff awareness. You will also track relevant legal, regulatory, and normative requirements and help shape business continuity planning (BCM).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the ISMS

• Advise executive management, leaders, and specialist departments on information security

• Identify, analyze, and assess information security risks and define appropriate measures

• Create, maintain, and further develop information security policies, processes, and standards

• Plan and execute risk analyses and internal audits

• Support preparation for and participation in external audits and certifications

• Investigate security incidents and track follow-up actions, including preventive measures

• Conduct trainings and awareness-raising activities for employees

• Collaborate with IT, Data Protection, Compliance, and external service providers and partners

• Develop Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategies

• Monitor relevant legal, regulatory, and normative requirements for information security

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Security, or comparable qualification

• Alternatively: technical training with relevant experience in information security

• Several years of experience building or managing information security management systems

• In-depth knowledge of relevant standards/frameworks (especially ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, or comparable)

• Experience with risk analyses and audits

• Strong analytical thinking and structured, independent working style

• Excellent communication and persuasive skills with different stakeholders

• Good German and English skills (written and spoken)
