Description

Data Lake and Analytics Specialist Solutions Architects combine business understanding with deep technical expertise to drive data, analytics, and AI discussions with Healthcare and Life Sciences customers. You architect scalable solutions grounded in AWS best practices, translating business requirements into technical designs. In environments where business objectives may not be fully defined, you help customers clarify requirements and choose the right technical path forward.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineering and architecture teams
• Lead technical discussions on data platforms, analytics architectures, and AI readiness
• Design and deliver AWS-based data lake, analytics, and semantic layer solutions
• Work hands-on with AWS services including S3, Lake Formation, Glue, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker, and Bedrock
• Own solution design and delivery for assigned customers, ensuring scalable architectures aligned to business goals
• Produce well-documented, reusable solutions to build a reference architectures and patterns library
• Create and review technical content such as whitepapers, blog posts, reference architectures, and workshop materials
• Identify gaps in AWS products/services from customer engagements and contribute feedback to service teams
• Stay current on AWS services, industry trends, and emerging data and analytics patterns; share learnings with the SA community

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or solutions architecture
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with data lake, data warehouse, or analytics platforms
• Experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS or comparable cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and analytics architectures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 4+ years of experience in domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries
