Description

You will lead a team designing and building AI primitives and user-facing services for agentic AI, shipping features from concept to design, implementation, roll-out, and ongoing support. The role requires hands-on technical leadership and high operational standards to deliver reliable, high-performance software at cloud scale while partnering with product and technical leaders. You will help build foundational AI services that power next-generation AWS applications and improve troubleshooting and diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams building AI primitives and customer-facing services

• Drive end-to-end delivery from concept and design through implementation, roll-out, and support

• Partner with product and program management to translate business goals into technical solutions

• Maintain high standards for reliability, performance, and operational excellence

Requirements

• 3+ years engineering team management experience

• 7+ years engineering experience

• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services

• 1+ year providing technical leadership and project management across the SDLC

• 1+ year developing large-scale, multi-tier distributed systems using Java, C#, or C++

• 1+ year developing large-scale, multi-tier distributed systems using service-oriented architecture

• 1+ year developing large-scale, multi-tier distributed systems using distributed programming

• Bachelor’s degree (CS/Engineering/Math or related) or foreign equivalent

• Knowledge of full lifecycle engineering practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, certification, live site operations)

• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
