Description

As a Release Manager, you will coordinate releases using agile methods for a digital solution and ensure the quality of multiple digital products. You will lead the functional and technical release-test cycle, optimize build, test, and deployment processes, and continuously modernize them. You will collaborate with program and solution teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders, and help enable agile teams with release-management tools, methods, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate releases according to agile operating models

• Provide functional and technical leadership for the complete release-test cycle for a solution

• Optimize build, test, and deployment processes and drive continuous modernization

• Work closely with team members within the program/solution and with relevant stakeholders from different domains

• Actively contribute to the release-management guild and enable agile teams in release-management tools, methods, and processes

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational training with practical experience

• Ideally 3 years of experience as a Release Manager or Project Leader, preferably including experience with agile development

• Good knowledge of IT and deployment; basic understanding of digital products

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking

• Willingness to keep developing and to monitor the market for meaningful advancements in test methods and tools

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to proactively take initiative

• Ability to adapt to change; reliability, independence, integrity, and collaboration skills

• Fluent German and very good English (at least B2); enjoyment of working with international teams
