Description

Own the product direction for the Squad KV & PV Solutions and drive the development of end-to-end application capabilities for private health and long-term care insurance. Manage product and sprint backlogs, coordinate stakeholders, and lead initiatives including automation for the Pflegereform 2027 implementation and backlog reduction. Advance dark processing, optimize input management, and integrate modern SaaS solutions into the existing system landscape.

Responsibilities

• Act as Product Owner for the Squad KV & PV Solutions and take responsibility for the continued development of the product and application scope
• Own care insurance solutions such as CURAFORUM and digital online application flows
• Own systems for processing health insurance benefits, including distributed Java applications and their interfaces to the HOST architecture
• Support the planned completion of the Care Initiative by end of 2026 and, starting January 2027, deliver the Pflegereform 2027 initiative including automation to reduce backlog
• Structure, maintain, and prioritize the product and sprint backlog based on business needs, regulatory requirements, economic aspects, and legal deadlines
• Plan squad capacity and resources; perform regular target-vs-actual alignment
• Work with the Agile Master to foster psychological safety, open communication, and reliable solution-focused collaboration
• Serve as the central contact for business departments, IT architecture, stream owners, and internal/external interfaces to align requirements and create shared solutions
• Drive expansion of dark processing, optimization of input management, and integration of modern SaaS offerings into the system landscape

Requirements

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration, Health Management, or comparable training with relevant experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable steering role in an agile context
• Strong experience steering complex software products, ideally including distributed Java applications integrated with existing core systems (Mainframe/HOST)
• Demonstrated agile product development experience, including structured prioritization of requirements and team resource planning
• Structured, solution-oriented, pragmatic working approach; ability to make balanced decisions under tight deadlines or regulatory constraints
• Excellent communication skills and strong interest in close, cross-site collaboration in an interdisciplinary team
• Commitment to agile values and to building a respectful environment with psychological safety
• Ideally, expertise in health and long-term care insurance and experience with agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
