Description

You will be responsible for the concept, ongoing updates, and optimization of procedures, applications, tools, and guidelines for the z/OS host software development environment. The role also includes steering OSPlus releases, work related to Web and Windows bundles, and responsibility for Harvest. You will contribute to process and documentation activities with the goal of automating the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize procedures and tools for z/OS application development

• Contribute to the development and documentation of handover/acceptance processes for z/OS systems, coordinated with Production/Operations, to automate the software lifecycle

• Help create, maintain, and optimize technical concepts and procedures

• Create domain concepts and preliminary studies

• Conduct training for users of host development tools

• Support cross-departmental assignments

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable education; at least 2–3 years of relevant professional experience

• Knowledge of z/OS, ISPF, JCL, Db2, and REXX

• Knowledge of Cobol and BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline (formerly ISPW), or willingness to acquire Cobol skills

• Good English language skills

• Independent, solution-oriented, proactive, creative working style with strong communication skills

Compensation
