Senior • On-site

49,000 - 80,000 EUR/yr

Stuttgart, BW, Germany

Quick Facts

  • Role: IT Product Owner for Treasury & Insurance Systems (ION ITS and Origami Risk)

Description

Own and develop end-to-end product and operations for the central Treasury and Insurance platforms ION ITS and Origami Risk. You translate business requirements from Insurance/Treasury/Accounting into technical solutions, manage releases and integrations (API, SFTP, message-based flows), and ensure monitoring, incident handling, and system stability. You also define the technical product strategy and functional/non-functional requirements together with business stakeholders, aligned with IT security and architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Take technical end-to-end ownership for ION ITS (releases, configuration, system stability, incident management)

  • Own the ION ITS integration landscape: message flows, API/SFTP connections, and integration health monitoring

  • Manage and evolve ERP and other system connections (account statements, payments, FX rates, bookings, reconciliation account balances)

  • Operate and improve the IT-side reporting server (monitoring and adjustments)

  • Implement and support integrations to additional bank accounts, banks, entities, and systems

  • Implement user management and role/permission concepts in ION ITS with segregation of duties and defined approval processes

  • Implement, operate, and monitor Origami Risk interfaces to upstream and downstream systems (company structures, financial/exposure data, brokers and insurers)

  • Take technical responsibility for Origami Risk operations, configuration, vendor releases, configuration testing, stability, and incident management

  • Evolve Origami Risk based on Insurance business requirements in coordination with the Business Owner

  • Maintain and adjust configurable master/base data for insurance processes

  • Implement user management and role/permission concepts with data privacy and confidentiality requirements

  • Develop reports and dashboards for Insurance and Risk Management; in the mid-term, extend Origami Risk for operational risk management

  • Define and evolve technical product strategy and requirements (functional & non-functional, including IT security) aligned with IT and enterprise architecture

  • Maintain technical Product Backlogs, analyze technical impact of new requirements, and translate business needs into implementation steps

  • Perform technical change and release management (documentation, coordination of technical tests, alignment on go-live readiness)

  • Ensure compliance with IT security, architecture, operations, and documentation requirements

  • Own the IT portion of audits and controls (user access, change management, evidence)

  • Manage vendor relationships and plan/control operating costs for licenses, support, and external service providers

  • Support integration of new entities and organizational changes across both system landscapes

  • Coordinate technical incidents and support between Business, group IT, internal experts, and software vendors; derive and monitor service KPIs

  • Analyze interface errors and discrepancies together with the Business Owner

  • Assume technical responsibility from previously distributed roles and document the current (“as-is”) state

  • Build a sustainable operations and monitoring model for key interfaces (responsibilities and escalation paths)

  • Maintain and evolve role/authorization concepts; establish a reliable user management process with clear segregation of duties

  • Document Origami Risk configuration (data model, workflows, reports, interfaces) and support renewal cycles

  • Set up aligned backlog, change, and release processes with Business Owners; build transparent technical roadmaps for both platforms

  • Gradually take over administrative and technical routine tasks from business areas and external service providers, and build sustainable knowledge within group IT

Requirements

  • Multi-year experience as Product Owner, System Owner, or Application Manager for mission-critical Finance, Treasury, Risk, or Insurance applications

  • Strong understanding of Treasury and Insurance processes and their system representation

  • Solid understanding of integration architectures and integration operations (API, SFTP, message-based processing)

  • Experience working with ERP and other enterprise systems, preferably SAP, at the Finance/Treasury interface

  • Experience with role and authorization concepts, segregation of duties, technical change management, and IT audits

  • Ability to assess business requirements from Treasury, Insurance, or Accounting and translate them into technical solutions

  • Independent, structured working approach in a small, cross-functional IT organization

  • Fluent German and English

Benefits

  • Newly created role with end-to-end responsibility for critical finance and risk platforms

  • Sustainable product and operations model with a clear interface between Business, group IT, and software providers

  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion and an environment that supports employee development
