Description

You will develop and optimize secure, stable, and high-performance network solutions for a multi-site network infrastructure. The role includes designing, configuring, and implementing IP networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN) and transferring them into operational service. You will also improve network and network security (firewalls, segmentation, network-based services, automation), monitor KPIs and incidents, and support BSI Grundschutz requirements and system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize modern network solutions for secure, stable, and high-performance operations
• Design, configure, and implement IP networks including LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VPN; move into operational operation
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external service providers; steer services and support implementation of new network and security solutions
• Advance network and network security infrastructure, including firewalls, segmentation, network-based services, and automation solutions
• Ensure service and network quality by analyzing KPIs and incidents and deriving corrective actions
• Support implementation of BSI Grundschutz requirements; create technical tender documents; maintain and further develop system documentation

Requirements

• Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or comparable qualification with equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience with network infrastructure, network technologies, and network security solutions
• Ideally: competencies in cloud derivatives and software-defined architectures (SDN)
• In-depth knowledge of network administration and configuration, especially firewalls, authentication systems, and endpoint security solutions
• Practical experience in project and process management
