Description

Drive insights and decision-making for Google Store by combining measurement, experimentation, modeling, causal inference, and optimization. Use statistical analysis and coding to develop a data science roadmap, establish baselines, and deliver KPI reporting and business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis with tools such as SQL, R, and Python and provide proactive technical and investigative thought leadership.
• Develop a data science roadmap aligned to broader business strategy; define goals, coordinate resources, and provide technical leadership.
• Synthesize insights from cross-channel experimentation, including calculation of price elasticity curves and performance baselines for user interventions.
• Define and report KPIs for business reviews; translate findings into business insights and product improvement opportunities.
• Build predictive models using complex datasets and act as a subject matter expert for metrics development and modeling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or related).
• 8+ years’ experience using analytics to solve product/business problems, including statistical analysis and coding (Python, R, SQL).
• Experience with commercial metrics and business models such as e-commerce, retail, subscriptions, promotions, or pricing.

Benefits

• Base salary range (US): $163,000–$236,000 USD + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
