Principal Product Manager, AI Investigations & Integrity

Description

Investigate AI misuse and adversarial behavior across enterprise AI services—including prompt injection, jailbreaks, adversarial distillation, and coordinated abuse—then turn findings into detection and mitigation safeguards. Use Python/SQL and Kusto (or similar) to analyze complex model, application, and agent telemetry, document evidence and confidence, and collaborate with engineering, research, security, and integrity teams to improve detection quality and measure effectiveness while balancing risk reduction with legitimate use.

Responsibilities

• Investigate AI misuse and adversarial behavior across models, applications, and agentic workflows, from initial signals through defensible assessments of behavior, impact, risk, and attribution
• Analyze telemetry and datasets to reconstruct activity, connect signals, and uncover patterns beyond isolated events
• Document methods, findings, limitations, and confidence so others can reproduce the analysis
• Evaluate and improve detection coverage, false positives, missed abuse, and customer impact
• Investigate detection and mitigation failures with engineering and research partners using lessons from post-deployment monitoring
• Translate investigation outputs into detection requirements, mitigation priorities, and operational improvements; ship protections and measure effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years of experience in product/program management, AI investigations, applied data science, trust and safety, security research, intelligence analysis focused on technical threats, national security technical investigations, or related technical disciplines
• Ability to meet security screening requirements for the role, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years

• Base pay range in the U.S.: $142,800–$274,800 per year (Bay Area and NYC metro: $188,000–$304,200)
