Description

You will lead the mobile engineering squad, setting up the iOS codebase, tooling, and standards ahead of team scaling. You’ll own mobile technical decisions, mentor mid and senior engineers through a compressed delivery timeline, and partner with backend counterparts to implement the app-backend contract. The role expects you to drive AI-assisted engineering practices as a standard approach using approved AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own code quality and technical decisions in the iOS stream

• Collaborate with the solution architect to implement architecture

• Take personal responsibility for the hardest parts of the build

• Mentor a squad of mid and senior engineers across cross-platform and native work

• Guide delivery within a compressed timeline

• Act as the technical counterpart to the BFF stream for the app-backend contract

• Drive AI-assisted SDLC acceleration (code scaffolding, unit test creation, code review support, technical analysis, delivery planning) using approved AI tools

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on native iOS development experience (ideally Swift / SwiftUI)

• Proven track record building new mobile apps from the ground up

• Deep knowledge of iOS app architecture and clean code patterns

• Experience designing API-driven mobile experiences

• Familiarity with Location services and iOS permissions

• Experience with Push notifications / APNs

• Hands-on integration of Analytics SDKs

• Strong grasp of app performance, error handling, and accessibility basics

• Mastery of the TestFlight / App Store release process

• Experience working in multi-vendor or enterprise environments
