Description

You will lead the mobile engineering squad by setting up the iOS codebase, tooling, and engineering standards before the wider team scales. The role emphasizes native iOS delivery with AI-assisted engineering practices (e.g., code scaffolding, unit test creation, code review support, technical analysis, and delivery planning). You will own the hardest technical build parts, mentor engineers, and collaborate on the app–backend contract.

Responsibilities

• Own iOS code quality and technical decisions within the mobile stream
• Partner with the solution architect to turn architecture into implementation
• Lead hands-on technical delivery for the most challenging build items
• Mentor mid and senior engineers across cross-platform and native work under compressed timelines
• Act as the technical counterpart to the Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) stream to negotiate the app–backend contract
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices using approved AI tools

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on native iOS development experience (ideally Swift / SwiftUI)
• Proven track record building new mobile apps from the ground up
• Deep knowledge of iOS app architecture and clean code patterns
• Experience designing API-driven mobile experiences
• Familiarity with iOS location services and permissions
• Experience with push notifications / APNs
• Hands-on integration of analytics SDKs
• Strong grasp of app performance, error handling, and accessibility basics
• Mastery of TestFlight / App Store release process
• Experience working in multi-vendor or enterprise environments
