Description

You will lead the mobile engineering squad, arriving ahead of the team to establish the codebase, tooling, and standards. You are expected to lead with AI-assisted engineering practices as part of normal delivery. The role also emphasizes strong native iOS experience and experience leading squads through compressed delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: Own code quality and technical decisions in the mobile stream; work with the solution architect to turn architecture into implementation; take personal responsibility for the hardest parts of the build

• Team Mentorship & Squad Ownership: Mentor a squad of mid and senior engineers across cross-platform and native work within a compressed delivery schedule

• Cross-Stream Collaboration: Act as the technical counterpart to the BFF stream to negotiate the contract between the app and backend

• AI-Driven SDLC Acceleration: Drive AI-assisted engineering practices using approved AI tools for code scaffolding, unit test creation, code review support, technical analysis, and delivery planning

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Native iOS development (ideally Swift/SwiftUI)

• Proven track record of building new mobile apps from the ground up

• Deep knowledge of iOS app architecture and clean code patterns

• Experience designing API-driven mobile experiences

• Familiarity with Location services and iOS permissions

• Experience with Push notifications / APNs

• Hands-on integration of Analytics SDKs

• Strong grasp of app performance, error handling, and accessibility basics

• Mastery of the TestFlight / App Store release process

• Experience working in multi-vendor or enterprise environments
