• Location note: Candidates must be based in Poland; office visits in Katowice or Gdańsk

Description

You will support operational services for the OSS environment of a major international telecom operator. The role focuses on Linux-based infrastructure administration, automation, virtualization maintenance, incident resolution, and assisting with deployments and functional testing. You will also contribute to knowledge transfer and gain autonomy in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, RHEL)

• Install, maintain, and update infrastructure-level software and services

• Ensure server-to-network communication (DNS, routing, firewall configuration, syslog)

• Automate processes with Ansible, Bash scripting, and Python

• Maintain virtualized environments (VMware)

• Handle incidents and support performance optimization

• Participate in knowledge transfer and supervised practice to build autonomy

• Provide source code and support compilation, installation, and configuration on a new platform

• Assist with production deployment and validate correct operation via functional testing

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in general IT positions

• Hands-on Linux systems administration with strong Linux administration skills

• Experience in PHP development and scripting

• Knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB databases

• Hands-on DevOps experience

• Knowledge of Ansible and GitLab

• Fluent English (B2/C1)

• Availability to work on a 5-month project starting in November 2026

• Openness to office visits in Katowice or Gdańsk

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively

• Ability to collaborate with distributed technical teams
