Description

You will develop and stabilize embedded software for a medical measurement device that continuously measures and securely transmits data to the cloud. This hands-on role covers embedded system architecture, firmware integration, connectivity (BLE/USB), embedded cybersecurity (Secure Boot), and readiness for laboratory testing. You will also use modern AI-assisted development tools and coding agents in the engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and further develop embedded system architecture

• Integrate firmware components and stabilize the overall system

• Implement and strengthen embedded cybersecurity, including Secure Boot

• Implement firmware upgrade over USB

• Implement BLE communication between devices

• Develop synchronization between two devices to keep continuous measurement data available to the cloud while one device charges

• Implement USB High-Speed/MTP communication with a mobile application

• Support LEDs and vibration motor functionality

• Prepare and stabilize firmware for laboratory testing of the medical device

• Use AI-assisted development tools and coding agents as part of the workflow

Requirements

• Embedded system architecture and RTOS-based development

• Experience with NXP MCX N Series microcontrollers (or similar MCU platforms)

• BLE implementation and integration

• USB device development, including High-Speed USB

• USB firmware upgrade mechanisms

• Embedded cybersecurity and Secure Boot

• Firmware integration, debugging, and system stabilization

• Embedded firmware readiness for laboratory and product testing

• Hardware bring-up and debugging using SWD

• Working with connectivity modules and communication interfaces such as UART and USB

• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or Claude Code)
